‘Snowflake’… the new ‘PC gone mad’. A lazy, catch-all comeback when people are pulled up for being sexist, racist, transphobic, or generally awful.
The beautifully ironic thing about accusing people of being too easily offended is that, by definition, the person calling you a snowflake is offended.
They are offended by the fact that the world is changing and developing and it’s no longer okay to discriminate. They are offended that people stick up for one another. They are offended they don’t have all the power. And whatever or whoever they were insulting in the first place that led to this exchange (whether that was feminists or trans women or women of colour) – they are offended by them too.
There is an inverse proportion between the likelihood of a person using ‘snowflake’ as an insult and the chance of them using logic or reason in their argument. Those who use it are far more often on an angry, upset, mis-spelled, hate-fuelled, caps-lock rant than those it is thrown at.
The use of ‘snowflake’ is a good indicator that this is someone who is not really thinking for themselves and is throwing out tired, cliched insults instead. My advice is don’t even bother arguing with anyone who uses this term; and the same goes for Cuck, Triggered, Libtard, PC gone mad etc.
